Job summary

HAN Staff is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care in a correctional setting across Oregon and Wisconsin. The role requires an active WI license, BLS, and at least 1 year of recent experience, with the ability to work three 12-hour shifts and participate in on-site care delivery.

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin nursing license in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of related experience in the last 3 years.
• Valid BLS certification.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board if required.
• Copy of current required certifications and immunization records.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Shift Details:

• Three 12 hour shifts between 0700-2300; every other weekend; holidays as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current, valid, and unrestricted WI license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.


• Minimum of one (1) year related experience within the last 3 years


• Valid BLS


• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing


• Additional certifications may be required


• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.


• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
