Job summary

HAN Staff seeks a Registered Nurse to join the correctional healthcare team in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Local pay is $53.00/hour (W2) with travel pay options based on a 40-hour week, including lodging and stipends.

Join a dedicated team delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a secure setting. Responsibilities include assessing patients, administering medications, monitoring progress, documenting EMR, and collaborating with physicians to coordinate care.

Qualifications

• Current, valid NC RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience within the last 3 years.
• PSV (Primary Source Verification) from licensing board or verification agency if required.
• Current certifications such as BLS, N95 fit test, immunizations, TB test.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

Shift Details:

• 10 hr- Day Shift

• 8.30am - 7.00pm

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.

• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.

• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted NC license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of 1+ year of recent experience as a RN within the last 3 years.

• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,).
