Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a confident Clinical Resource Nurse to oversee nursing departments and provide expert consultation. The role reports to the Chief Clinical Officer and focuses on governance, policy interpretation, and quality improvement across the facility.

The position requires RN licensure, a nursing degree, CPR certification, and 1 year of skilled nursing experience. Long-term care regulatory knowledge is essential to ensure compliant, compassionate resident care.

Qualifications

• Must have nursing degree and RN license.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of success in a nursing role in a skilled facility.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates Nursing Services operations for compliance with laws and regulations.
• Communicates policies to nursing leadership and monitors staff practices.
• Audits leadership meetings to assess census and resident status changes.
• Participates in QA/QAPI activities and facility assessments.
• Ensures adequate staff coverage and quality of care across units.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to improve service quality.
• Observes residents and ensures nursing needs are met.
• Promotes teamwork and effective communication.
• Monitors infection control per guidelines and prepares for inspections.
• Supports development of plans of action to correct deficiencies.
