Job summary

Mission Point Health Care seeks a Staff Development Coordinator to assess, plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and coordinate the Staff Development Program for the assigned building. They will perform clinical tasks and assist in other departments as needed.

The role requires delivering compliance training, maintaining documentation to meet state, federal, and accreditation requirements, and ensuring clinical competency through observed skills and annual assessments. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of learning principles and training techniques.
• Skilled in developing and conducting training programs.
• Skilled in work assessment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff at all levels.
• Knowledge of state and federal requirements for accreditation and certification.
• Possesses basic computer skills.
• Ability to work with a culturally diverse resident and employee population.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and coordinate the Staff Development Program for their assigned building.
• Provide hands-on clinical orientation and instruction to licensed and unlicensed personnel.
• Conduct OSHA/Risk Management program with oversight of documentation requirements.
• Develop and conducts orientation for new, rehired and contract employees.
• May assume additional responsibilities such as Infection Preventionist or data collection support.
• Adhere to Mission Points’ Policies and Procedures and maintain patient privacy.
