Job summary

Providence Pointe Healthcare in Paducah, KY is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator, RN to lead nursing education, competency development, and ongoing training for the clinical team. The role ensures staff have the knowledge and support to provide high-quality resident care while meeting state and federal standards.

You will develop an annual education plan, deliver classroom and clinical instruction, maintain records, and partner with leadership to identify training needs.

Qualifications

• Strong teaching, communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate education and compliance records.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards for nursing education and infection prevention.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing education, orientation, in-services, and competency programs.
• Develop an annual education plan and monthly training calendar.
• Provide classroom and clinical instruction to nursing staff as appropriate.
• Maintain training records: attendance, certification, competency, CEU tracking.
• Monitor staff performance and provide retraining as needed.
• Ensure education program remains compliant with state and federal requirements.
• Provide infection prevention, resident rights, safety and clinical standards education.
• Partner with DON and Administrator to identify training needs.
• Participate in QA/PI initiatives and survey readiness efforts.
• Promote a culture of clinical excellence and continuous learning.
