Job summary

Mission Points is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the Staff Development Program for the assigned facility. You will also provide hands-on clinical orientation and training to licensed and unlicensed staff.

You will work with the Director of Nursing to ensure clinical competency, compliance with regulations, and documentation, while supporting budgets and risk management initiatives. A valid RN license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

Graduate of accredited nursing program and RN licensed in good standing.
Current CPR teaching certificate, if applicable.
Three years of nursing experience, incl. long-term care preferred.
Experience as instructor is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and coordinate staff development program.
Provide hands-on clinical orientation and instruction to licensed and unlicensed staff.
Ensure compliance training and complete training documentation per regulations.
Coordinate orientation for new, rehired and contract employees.
Work with DNS to ensure clinical competency and annual CNAs competency.
Assist in budget preparation and manage expenditures within budget.
Plan state and federally required in-service programs and OSHA/risk management duties.
Maintain patient and company data privacy and uphold mission values.
