Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager to lead the NV Medical Management Command Center, overseeing discharge planning, transitions of care and utilization management for high‑risk patients in acute and sub‑acute settings.

This leadership role requires a Nevada RN license, CCM certification within 2 years, 1+ year supervisory experience, strong regulatory knowledge, technology skills and exceptional communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active unrestricted Nevada RN license.
• CCM certification within 2+ years of employment.
• Valid Nevada driver’s license and auto insurance.
• 1+ year in managed care.
• 1+ year supervisory/management experience.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements; capable in case management and clinical arenas.
• Solid technology and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to negotiate and arbitrate.
• Proven ability to supervise multiple levels of staff.
• Critical thinking: integrate guidelines to plan care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure team education, training, and resources meet compliance and customer service standards.
• Support team growth and encourage out‑of‑the‑box solutions.
• Identify barriers to maintain productivity and morale.
• Coordinate between internal departments and external companies.
• Develop work and educational plans to manage day‑to‑day functions.
• Independently manage workflows and report concerns to the director.
• Collaborate on decisions to promote teamwork.
• Collaborate with Sr. Medical Director and VP.
• Promote LEAN cycles for performance enhancement.
• Provide input to improve process flows and efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned in medical management.
• Discharge planning and improved transitions of care daily.
• Utilization management for long hospital stays.
