Job summary

The Alden Network in Illinois is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to supervise daily nursing activities and oversee nursing assistants on a designated unit. The goal is to maintain the highest quality care in line with Federal, State, and local standards and facility policies.

Responsibilities include planning care, directing staff, administering medications, documenting care, and participating in care conferences.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unencumbered RN or LPN license for IL/WI.
• CPR certificate required or must become certified within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and elderly care.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language clearly.
• Demonstrates leadership and supervisory ability.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing assistants and day-to-day activities.
• Plan, develop, and direct care for each customer on the unit.
• Ensure all Nursing procedures follow established policies and budget constraints.
• Directly supervise and instruct nursing staff to promote knowledge and compliance.
• Maintain accurate nursing notes, charts, and documentation of care provided.
