Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care and supervise nursing assistants. The role requires compliance with all applicable standards, policies, and regulations to ensure high-quality care for residents.

You will supervise nursing staff, participate in care planning, and ensure accurate charting and medication administration. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Hold a current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in IL and/or WI.
• Current CPR certificate or willing to become certified within two weeks of employment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of nursing practices and patient care procedures.
• Shows interest and knowledge in care of the aged.
• Able to read, write, and speak English clearly for communication.
• Ability to make independent decisions when required.
• Ability to interact tactfully with customers, families, and staff.
• Demonstrates leadership and supervisory capabilities.
• Personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful in daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and facility policies.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct care for each unit.
• Supervise and instruct nursing staff to promote knowledge and quality care.
• Maintain policies, dress code, and department procedures.
• Assist in care plan development and attend care conferences.
• Document nursing notes and patient responses to care.
• Complete admissions, discharges, transfers, and daily rounds.
• Coordinate medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Review medication records for accuracy and policy adherence.
• Encourage physicians to review and sign treatment plans and orders.
• Attend meetings and perform related duties as assigned.
