Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to lead the day-to-day nursing activities and provide direct patient care in Bloomingdale Township, Illinois. You will supervise nursing assistants, ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility policies, and collaborate with physicians and family members to maintain high-quality care for residents.

Qualifications

• Must hold current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in Illinois/Wisconsin.
• Current CPR certificate or within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
• Experience in geriatric care.
• Able to read/write/speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Ability to interact tactfully with customers, family, visitors, staff, and regulators.
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants.
• Ensure care meets federal, state, local standards and facility policies.
• Plan, develop, and supervise unit operations with the Ladies and Gentlemen of Alden.
• Directly supervise and instruct staff to promote nursing knowledge.
• Ensure dress code and departmental policies are followed.
• Develop written care plans identifying customer problems/needs.
• Attend care plan conferences and report concerns to the Administrator.
• Complete daily rounds and ensure nursing duties and physician orders are followed.
