Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local standards. The role emphasizes high-quality resident care and daily unit supervision.

The position requires an active nursing license in IL/WI, CPR certification, and strong knowledge of nursing practices. Strong communication, leadership, and compassionate care are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN or LPN in IL and/or WI.
• Must possess current CPR certificate or become certified within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• Demonstrates interest and/or knowledge in care of the aged.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Must deal tactfully with customers, family members, visitors, and staff.
• Must have leadership and supervisory ability and be able to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants.
• Ensure care follows Federal, State, and local standards and facility policies.
• Maintain the highest quality of care at all times.
• Oversee daily nursing activities on assigned unit.
• Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with physicians and family.
