Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health invites applications for a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. The RN will deliver nursing care based on current evidence, communicate with patients and the care team, administer medications with bar-scanning and electronic documentation, and support education for patients and families.

Candidates must hold a New Jersey Nursing license; BLS/CPR within 60 days; at least 1 year in telemetry or critical care; ACLS and telemetry

Qualifications

New Jersey nursing license is required.
BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
At least 1 year of telemetry or critical care nursing experience.
ACLS and telemetry certification are preferred.
BSN in progress and/or willing to obtain within three years of hire.
National certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver care per evidence-based policies to ensure safe, individualized patient care.
Communicate with patients and care team about patient status and plans.
Administer medications with bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
Document assessments, plans, interventions, and evaluations electronically.
Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
Discharge patients safely with continuum of care.
Work in telemetry/critical care with strong teamwork and accountability.
