Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in New Jersey to join our Jersey Shore University Medical Center team. You will deliver patient-centered nursing care, follow current evidence-based practices, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional outcomes.

The role requires an active New Jersey nursing license, BLS/CPR certification within 60 days, and at least 1 year of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• NJ nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience is required.
• Willing to attend training to become chemotherapy competent within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to current evidence, policies, and standards to ensure safe and excellent patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and health care team about patient status and plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Point-of-care electronic documentation of assessments, plans, and interventions.
• Patient and family education to optimize health, wellness, and disease management.
• Discharge of patients to ensure safe transition and continuum of care.
