Job summary

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• 1 year of med/surg telemetry nursing experience required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing care according to evidence-based policies and standards.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team.
• Medication administration with bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Electronic documentation of assessments, plan-of-care, interventions and evaluation.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Discharge planning to ensure safe transition and continuum of care.
