Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire is required.
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience.
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Telemetry certification required; TNCC preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to obtain within three years.
• Ability to learn quickly, strong teamwork, and patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per current evidence-based practices and standards.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and health-care team about status and plans.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and electronic documentation.
• Document patient assessments and plans of care in the EHR at the point of care.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary discharge planning for safe transition of care.
