Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The role involves delivering evidence-based nursing care, communicating with the care team, and documenting at the point of care.

The position requires a current NJ RN license, BLS/CPR, telemetry certification, and typically 6 months of nursing experience or participation in the Nurse Residency program. ICU/CCU experience and ventilator management are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS preferred.
• Telemetry certification required.
• Minimum 6 months of nursing experience or participation in HMH Nurse Residency program.
• 2 years of critical care nursing preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Care of post open heart surgical patient experience preferred.
• IABP, CCRN and CVVH certifications preferred.
• Hemodynamic monitoring and titratable infusions classes will be required.
• BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to the latest evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and the health care team regarding patient status and care plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies for safe delivery.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments, plans of care, interventions and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health, wellness and disease management.
• Multidisciplinary discharge planning for safe transition of care.
