Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Must have a minimum of 6 months of nursing experience or be an active participant in the Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program.
• Telemetry certification preferred.
• ACLS, NIH certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to current evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to ensure safe and excellent patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and health care team about status, care, and plans.
• Medication administration using current bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Documentation of patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations at the point of care.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Multi-disciplinary discharging to ensure safe transition of care.
