Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our telemetry/critical care team at one of our Jersey Shore University Medical Center facilities. The role emphasizes delivering evidence-based nursing care, coordinating with the health care team, and ensuring safe, patient-centered treatment plans.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid New Jersey Nursing license, have 1+ year telemetry or critical care experience, and be committed to continuous learning and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire is required.
• Minimum of 1 year telemetry or critical care nursing experience required.
• ACLS is preferred.
• Telemetry certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research and standards of care to ensure safe, individualized patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients and health care team regarding patient status and plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Electronic documentation of patient assessments, plan-of-care, and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Multidisciplinary discharge planning for safe transition of care.
