Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Cardiac Device Specialist to manage CIED evaluation, remote monitoring, and device follow-up. The role involves analyzing pacemaker/ICD/IRL data, recognizing arrhythmias, and ensuring safe patient care in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff.

In addition to device interrogation, the specialist educates patients and families on device function, monitoring processes, and follow-up schedules.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree in an Allied Health related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Formal CIED training within six months of hire with certificate of course completion.
• BLS, ACLS required.
• CCDS certification preferred.
• Certification through International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners for CCDS will be required within 5 years of hire.

Aufgaben

• Performs CIED interrogation in the ambulatory clinic setting and evaluates device status and patient response.
• Troubleshoots CIED issues with in-the-moment resolution for best outcomes.
• Documents in electronic CIED reporting system and EMR; ensures accurate billing.
• Coordinates with healthcare team to respond to patient needs and clinic volumes.
• Collaborates with Device Clinic Nurses for management of CIED patient population.
• Notifies clinicians of device malfunctions and arrhythmias; assists in patient disposition.
