Job summary

Presbyterian Health Services is seeking a Cardiac Device Specialist to manage CIED evaluations, both in-clinic and through remote monitoring. You will collaborate with Device Clinic nurses, electrophysiologists and cardiologists to ensure excellent patient care.

Requirements include an allied health degree, formal CIED training within six months, BLS/ACLS, and CCDS certification preferred with potential path to IBHRE CCDS within five years.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Allied Health field required.
• Formal CIED training within six months of hire and CCDS certification pathway.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• CCDS certification preferred; board/IBHRE CCDS within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform CIED interrogation and evaluate device status in clinic.
• Troubleshoot CIED issues for prompt resolution and patient safety.
• Document in EHR/CIED reporting system and ensure billing accuracy.
• Coordinate with nurses, electrophysiologists and cardiologists for patient disposition.
• Educate patients and families on device function and remote monitoring.
• Assist with scheduling follow-ups and device replacement procedures.
