Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a related field required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Cardiac Device Rhythm Management course or equivalent experience required.
• 3 years of recent cardiac device management experience required.
• IBHRE certification required and maintained per IBHRE guidelines.
• Current BLS and ACLS per AHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced direct cardiac rhythm management patient care for adult and pediatric patients with CIEDs.
• Performs post-operative CIED assessment and patient teaching on incision care and device function.
• Conducts troubleshooting and programming to optimize pacing, rate modulation, and battery longevity.
• Performs advanced CIED interrogations including HIS Bundle pacing and Multi-Vector programming.
• Recognizes abnormal device function and addresses issues in in-person and remote monitoring.
• Coordinates with electrophysiologists and other providers with documentation.
• Acts as mentor/preceptor to device specialists; attends at least 15 device education hours annually.
• Assesses lead/device advisories and implements recall/tracking strategies.
• Ensures accurate billing codes and procedural information for device encounters.
• Supports Patient Centered Care Philosophy and teamwork.
