Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking an experienced registered nurse to perform transtelephonic pacemaker checks and advanced device interrogations. The role includes maintaining professional knowledge, ensuring quality of care, and documenting patient care in records.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, provide patient and family instruction for post-implant care, and support continuity of care according to device manufacturer recommendations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• One (1) year of cardiac device experience.
• Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills.
• Strong ability to communicate complex topics to a wide audience.
• Basic working knowledge of computers and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending education workshops and reviewing publications.
• Assure quality of care by adhering to standards and evaluating patient outcomes.
• Document patient care services by charting in records.
• Perform transtelephonic pacemaker checks and device interrogations as ordered.
• Instruct patients and families in post-implant care and self-care.
