Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Cardiac Device Specialist to manage CIED evaluations in-clinic and via remote transmissions. You will assess pacemakers, ICDs, and leads, interpret device data, and coordinate care with nurses, electrophysiologists, cardiologists and the research team.

The role emphasizes patient education, timely documentation in EPIC, and collaboration to ensure safe device therapy.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in an Allied Health related field; BCLS/ACLS required.
• Formal CIED training within six months of hire with CCDS preferred.
• Certification through I.B.H.R. for CCDS required within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Performs CIED interrogation and evaluates device status, function and patient response.
• Troubleshoots sensing/capture issues and documents in EMR/CIED reporting system.
• Educates patients and families on device function and remote monitoring.
• Collaborates with Device Clinic Nurses, EPs, APCs and researchers.
• Coordinates with the healthcare team for timely patient disposition and follow-up.
