Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Bed Control/Transfer Center Registered Nurse (BCTC RN) to coordinate and assign beds, evaluate transfers, and document patient movements to ensure smooth flow of care.

The role collaborates with ED, inpatient units, and physicians; BSN required, 3–5 years of acute care RN experience, EPIC EMR proficiency, and Georgia licensure. Leadership experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• BSN required
• 3–5 years RN experience in acute care required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Georgia RN licensure required
• BCLS certification required
• Charge nurse or higher leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and assigns all beds at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital
• Coordinates, processes, screens, and documents patient transfers into PAH
• Collaborates with ED, inpatient units, surgical services, and physicians to facilitate patient flow
• Assess patients for appropriate level of care and bed placement
• Work with House Supervisors, referring physicians, ED/inpatient staff and administration
