Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Bed Control/Transfer Center Registered Nurse (BCTC RN) to coordinate bed assignments and transfers. The role requires evaluating and documenting transfers and collaborating with ED, inpatient units, and physicians to optimize patient flow.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of acute care RN experience, BSN, and EPIC EMR proficiency; leadership experience is preferred. The position supports seamless patient movement across hospital services.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 3–5 years RN acute care experience required.
• Experience in critical care or emergency/trauma preferred.
• Proficient with EPIC EMR platform required.
• Charge nurse or higher leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assign beds at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
• Evaluate, coordinate, process, screening, and documentation of patient transfers.
• Collaborate with physician offices, ED, inpatient units, surgical services to facilitate patient flow.
• Assess patients for the most appropriate level of immediate care and optimal bed placement.
• Utilize problem solving and customer service to determine best course of action for patient, physician, and hospital.
