Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Bed Control/Transfer Center Registered Nurse (BCTC RN) to coordinate and assign beds, evaluate and document patient transfers, and collaborate with ED, inpatient units, and surgical services to optimize patient flow.

The role requires BSN, 3-5 years of RN acute care experience, EPIC EMR proficiency, and leadership capabilities; trauma/critical care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting required.
• Experience in critical care or emergency/trauma preferred.
• Proficient with EPIC EMR platform required.
• Charge nurse or higher leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and assigns all beds at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital (PAH) and manages patient transfers into PAH.
• Collaborates with physician offices, ED, inpatient units, surgical services and procedural areas to optimize patient flow.
• Assesses patients for the most appropriate level of immediate care and bed placement, ensuring best action for patient and hospital.
