Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Bed Control/Transfer Center Registered Nurse (BCTC RN) to coordinate and assign beds, coordinate transfers, and document patient movements. The role requires collaboration with ED, inpatient units, and physicians to optimize patient flow and care decisions.

The RN must have a BSN, 3–5 years of acute care RN experience, EPIC EMR proficiency, and a Basic Life Support certification, with leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required
• 3–5 years RN experience in acute care required
• EPIC EMR platform experience required
• Charge nurse or higher leadership experience preferred
• BCLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assign beds at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital
• Evaluate, coordinate, process, screen and document patient transfers
• Collaborate with ED, inpatient units and physician offices to facilitate patient flow
• Assess patient needs for appropriate level of care and bed placement
