Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut, part of Hartford HealthCare, seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager (RN, CRL, CNL) to join the Family Birthing Center in New Britain, CT. This leadership role oversees nursing supervision, clinical personnel and daily department operations on a night shift with flexible hours.

BSN preferred; at least 2 years acute care nursing experience is required. Competitive benefits, tuition reimbursement, PTO and 401K with company match are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or incumbent must obtain BSN within 3 years.
• 2 years of acute care nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patient care, clinical personnel and unit operations.
• Oversee daily operations including off-shift and weekend supervision of nursing and non-licensed staff.
• Manage resources, payroll, colleague scheduling and patient throughput to ensure efficient operations.
• Support leadership in standards of excellence and professional development.
• Lead Performance Improvement activities in assigned department.
