Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, CT, is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) to oversee patient care, staff, and unit operations in the Family Birthing Center. This role requires leadership on night shift with collaboration across departments.

You will supervise licensed and non-licensed staff, manage schedules, payroll, and drive performance improvement initiatives while ensuring safe, family-centered care and alignment with the hospital's strategic goals.

Qualifications

• BSN is required; incumbents must obtain BSN within 3 years.
• 2 years of acute care nursing experience.
• CT RN licensure and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care, clinical personnel and unit operations.
• Supervise off-shift and weekend nursing staff and non-licensed staff.
• Manage resources, payroll and staff scheduling.
• Monitor patient throughput and ensure a safe, therapeutic unit environment.
• Lead performance improvement initiatives within the department.
