Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (RN, CRL, CNL) to join the Family Birthing Center in New Britain, CT. This Night Shift role oversees patient care, staff and unit operations, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, patient- and family-centered care.

Candidates must hold a BSN, be a CT-licensed RN with BLS, and have 2 years of acute care nursing experience. Strong leadership, communication, and Lean/HR knowledge are essential; we offer tuition

Qualifications

• BSN required; must obtain BSN within 3 years.
• 2 years of acute care nursing experience required.
• CT RN licensure and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patient care and clinical staff on the unit.
• Oversee daily operations, staffing, payroll, and scheduling.
• Ensure safe and therapeutic environment and patient throughput.
• Lead Performance Improvement initiatives in the department.
