Westwood Health and Rehabilitation in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. The role is ideal for a dedicated RN with strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional resident care.

As ADON you will mentor clinical staff, ensure regulatory compliance, participate in staffing decisions, and provide direct resident care when needed.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in state
• CPR certification held
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience in similar population
• At least 1 year of management experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing home regulations (local/state/federal)
• Compassionate, results-driven professional

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical management and staff
• Participate in development and achievement of nursing department goals and educational programming
• Ensure compliance with policies and standards of practice
• Recruit, hire, and retain qualified nursing staff per staffing plans and regulations
• Collaborate with department heads to promote interdepartmental relations
• Develop and monitor documentation systems
• Provide direct resident care when needed
• Implement innovative ideas to improve outcomes
