Job summary

Kannapolis Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. This role focuses on resident care excellence and staff development.

The ADON will mentor clinical staff, ensure regulatory compliance, recruit and retain qualified nurses, and collaborate with department heads to optimize care delivery. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities to impact outcomes for residents in a supportive community.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in the applicable state.
• RN Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience in a setting serving a similar resident population.
• At least one (1) year of management experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to nursing home operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical management, clinicians, and other team members.
• Participate in development and achievement of nursing department goals, including staff development functions and educational programming.
• Assist in implementing and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
• Recruit, hire, and retain qualified nursing staff.
• Collaborate with department heads to promote interdepartmental relations.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring documentation systems.
• Provide direct resident care as needed, ensuring interaction with residents and families.
• Deliver innovative and responsible healthcare by creating and implementing new ideas and processes.
