Job summary

The Westwood Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. This role targets an RN with strong leadership and a commitment to delivering exceptional resident care.

Responsibilities include education, policy compliance, staffing, and collaboration with department heads; direct resident care as needed; opportunities for scheduling flexibility and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in good standing.
• RN Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience in a setting serving a similar resident population.
• At least one (1) year of management experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to nursing home operations.
• A dedicated, compassionate, and results-driven professional committed to delivering exceptional care.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical management and staff.
• Participate in development and achievement of nursing department goals and educational programming.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
• Recruit, hire, and retain qualified nursing staff according to staffing plans and state requirements.
• Collaborate with department heads to promote interdepartmental relations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor documentation systems.
• Provide direct resident care as needed.
• Create and implement new ideas and processes to improve outcomes.
