Job summary

Greenbriar Care Community is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team. You will supervise STNAs, contribute to individualized care plans, and conduct daily rounds to ensure high-quality services.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care for residents.
• Proficient reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Demonstrates teamwork and contributes as a positive team member.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable laws/regulations for nursing facilities.
• Leadership and willingness to collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Monitor resident conditions and report changes to Nurse Supervisor/Unit Manager.
• Maintain accurate resident records, histories, plans, and progress notes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance care quality.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, treating wounds, and performing various medical procedures.

• Supervise and direct the activities of assigned STNAs, ensuring that they provide high-quality care to residents.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for residents, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

• Conduct daily rounds to ensure that residents are receiving high-quality care and to identify any areas for improvement.

Requirements:

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state.

• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

• Supporting team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept.

• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
