Job summary

Greenville Care Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and lead a team of STNAs. You will develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor patient conditions, and coordinate with physicians to ensure high-quality care.

The role requires an active RN license, strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the appropriate state.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Experience delivering direct nursing care to adults in a facility setting.
• Ability to supervise STNAs and collaborate with other staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medications, wound care, and procedures.
• Supervise and direct activities of assigned STNAs to ensure high-quality care.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans with other health professionals.
• Conduct daily rounds to assess care quality and identify improvements.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor resident conditions and report changes to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate resident records and progress notes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and coordinate care with families.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, treating wounds, and performing various medical procedures.

• Supervise and direct the activities of assigned STNAs, ensuring that they provide high-quality care to residents.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for residents, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

• Conduct daily rounds to ensure that residents are receiving high-quality care and to identify any areas for improvement.

• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by physicians.

• Monitor resident conditions and report changes or concerns to the Nurse Supervisor and/or Unit Manager.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve the overall quality of care provided to residents.

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that care is coordinated and resident needs are met.

Requirements:

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state.

• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

• Supporting team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept.

• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
