Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC is seeking a Risk Manager / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for a premier long-term care facility in New York. The role focuses on clinical quality and risk mitigation, with direct responsibility for investigating and reporting all DOH incidents.

You will partner with the DON to maintain high clinical standards, perform root-cause analyses, and drive corrective actions while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. A hands-on, proactive leader is ideal.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Hands-on experience submitting accident and incident reportables to the Department of Health (DOH).
• 3+ years RN experience in long-term care or similar setting.
• Experience as ADON, Risk Manager, Quality Improvement Coordinator, or Clinical Supervisor in LTC.

Responsibilities

• Direct the investigation, documentation, and mandatory reporting of accidents, incidents, and DOH reportables.
• Partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily nursing operations and clinical quality.
• Conduct root-cause analyses and implement corrective action plans.
• Ensure compliance with DOH regulations and lead survey readiness.
• Educate and train staff on safety protocols and incident documentation.
