Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is assisting a premier long-term care facility in New York to recruit a Risk Manager / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). The role leads clinical quality initiatives, risk mitigation, and incident reporting to the Department of Health. Strong DOH reporting experience is required.

You will partner with the Director of Nursing, oversee daily operations, conduct root-cause analyses, and train staff on safety and compliance in a resort-style, resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Hands-on experience submitting accident and incident reportables to DOH.
• 3+ years RN in long-term care, skilled nursing, or sub-acute facility.
• Experience as ADON, Risk Manager, QI Coordinator, or Clinical Supervisor in LTC.
• Strong knowledge of DOH reporting mandates and state surveys.

Responsibilities

• Direct investigation, documentation, and mandatory reporting of all facility accidents, incidents, and reportables to the DOH.
• Partner with DON to oversee daily nursing operations and maintain high clinical quality.
• Conduct root-cause analyses on clinical incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with DOH regulations and lead state survey readiness.
• Educate and train nursing staff on safety protocols and incident documentation.
