Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a proactive Risk Manager / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for a premier long-term care facility in a scenic coastal New York community. You will lead clinical quality and risk mitigation, oversee incident reporting to the DOH, and partner with the DON to maintain high standards of care.

Requirements include an active RN license and hands-on DOH reporting experience. Responsibilities include directing investigations, performing root-cause analyses, and training

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Must have documented hands-on experience submitting accident and incident reportables directly to the Department of Health (DOH).
• 3+ years of RN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or sub-acute facility.
• Prior experience as ADON, Risk Manager, Quality Improvement Coordinator, or Clinical Supervisor in long-term care.
• Deep understanding of DOH reporting mandates, state surveys, and risk containment.

Responsibilities

• Direct the investigation, documentation, and mandatory reporting of all facility accidents, incidents, and reportable events to the DOH.
• Partner with the DON to oversee daily nursing operations and maintain high clinical quality standards across the facility.
• Conduct thorough root-cause analyses on clinical incidents and implement immediate corrective action plans.
• Ensure continuous compliance with federal, state, and local DOH regulations and lead state survey readiness.
• Educate and train nursing staff on safety protocols, risk reduction, and proper incident documentation.
