Job summary

ARCO Design/Build in Columbus, OH is seeking a motivated Assistant Superintendent, New Grad 2027, to contribute hands-on leadership on field projects. You’ll help drive safety, quality, and on-site execution from first day.

As part of the team you’ll participate in preconstruction planning, project scheduling, and subcontractor coordination while learning from experienced professionals who mentor your growth.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming completion of an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction Planning – Attend post-award meetings to review project details and assist with construction planning before work begins.
• Project Scheduling – Work with the Project Manager to develop construction schedules, sequencing, staffing plans, and equipment needs.
• Field Leadership – Oversee daily construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to project specifications.
• Subcontractor Coordination – Manage subcontractor activities, communicate schedule updates, and ensure work is properly coordinated across trades.
