Job summary

ARCO Design/Build in Louisville, KY, seeks a Construction Design/Build Project Manager (DBM) to own projects from inception through completion. You will develop estimates, coordinate design efforts, and oversee on-site execution with clients and design teams to turn concepts into buildable solutions.

The role emphasizes cost control, collaborative leadership, and proactive problem solving, with bi-weekly site meetings and a focus on continuous improvement and value-driven outcomes.

Qualifications

• Accredited bachelor's or master's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering.
• Interest in design/build processes and construction lifecycle exposure.
• Experience not required but preferred; GPA 3.0+ is optional.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
• Excellent verbal communication, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Lead project facets from start to finish including estimating, scheduling, quality control, billing, and design coordination.
• Prepare detailed, reliable project estimates for execution.
• Collaborate with clients and design teams to shape preliminary concepts.
• Participate in proposal meetings to refine scope and reduce costs.
• Lead subcontractor selection and buyout for cost-effective partnerships.
• Facilitate bi-weekly on-site meetings to align teams and track progress.
• Make confident decisions under pressure to keep projects on track.
• Coordinate multiple moving parts to maintain scope, schedule, and budget.
• Monitor processes to uphold high quality and pursue continuous improvement.
• Transform client feedback into actionable project outcomes.
