Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks a dedicated Special Education RISE teacher to serve students with diverse disabilities, delivering instruction across core subjects and adaptive PE. You will support families and coordinate related services while upholding high achievement expectations in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and valid Texas Special Education certification, with experience in a Special Education classroom strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a four-year program
• Valid Texas State Certification in Special Education is required
• Experience in a Special Education classroom preferred

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs
• Develop and monitor IEPs for a caseload
• Coordinate services for students on caseload
• Track student progress and update IEPs throughout the year
• Communicate progress with families weekly and document outcomes
• Attend weekly meetings and uphold school-wide initiatives
