IDEA Public Schools in Texas seeks a dedicated Special Education RISE teacher to support students with a wide range of disabilities. You will teach core subjects and adaptive PE while developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for a dedicated caseload and coordinating services to ensure high achievement.

You will partner with families, track progress, and participate in weekly meetings to align instruction with district goals and student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required)
• Experience in a Special Education classroom setting with students who have significant disabilities (strongly preferred)
• Valid Texas state certification in Special Education (required); appropriate grade and subject band core certification(s) or Texas Core Content Competency Worksheet (required)

Responsabilités

• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students
• Develop IEPs for a caseload of students
• Implement IEPs, assess students’ performance, and track progress
• Update IEPs throughout the school year to reflect progress and goals
• Assess students’ skills to determine needs and develop teaching plans
• Collect and analyze student data to maximize achievement
• Communicate progress with families weekly
• Host tutoring sessions as needed
