Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks a dedicated Special Education RISE teacher to empower students with diverse abilities. You will deliver instruction across core subjects, adapt lessons, and partner with families to support long-term planning.

You will develop IEPs, coordinate related services, and monitor progress while collaborating with teachers and administrators to foster an inclusive, high-expectation learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution is required.
• Experience in a Special Education classroom with students who have significant disabilities is strongly preferred.
• Valid Texas state certification in Special Education and appropriate core certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs.
• Develop and implement IEPs for a caseload of students.
• Coordinate related services and track student progress.
• Communicate progress with families weekly and update gradebook.
• Engage in weekly team meetings and school-wide activities.
