Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is hiring a Special Education RISE teacher in Texas. You will serve students with diverse disabilities, delivering instruction across core subjects and adaptive PE, while providing family support for long-term planning.

Expect compensation with a starting salary of $63,500, plus stipends for certifications and campus leadership, plus opportunities for after-hours pay. Benefits and retirement plans are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institu­tion is required.
• Valid Texas state certification in Special Education is required.
• Appropriate grade and subject core content certifications or Texas Core Content Competency Worksheet are required.

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs and abilities.
• Develop and implement IEPs for a caseload of students.
• Assess student performance and track progress weekly.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and staff for student success.
• Maintain ongoing communication with families about progress.
• Lead tutoring sessions after school or on Saturdays as needed.
• Participate in weekly meetings and school-wide activities.
• Maintain compliant records and meet program requirements.
