Job summary

Ranger Energy Services, LLC is seeking a Rig Supervisor to oversee rig crews, uphold productivity standards, and coordinate with customers to deliver safe, quality services. The role requires working knowledge of Workover Rig components and the ability to troubleshoot equipment on site.

You will mentor crew, manage daily operations, and ensure compliance with safety procedures while coordinating with management on logistics and costs. This is a full-time, on-site position in Texas.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years on a well servicing rig preferred.
• Ability to operate rig components and run tongs.
• Valid state driver’s license or CDL.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with management on rig logistics and workflow.
• Marms with District Manager on manning, scheduling and personnel matters.
• Guides and directs rig crew on assigned tasks.
• Performs BOP inspection and testing as needed.
• Assists HSE, DOT and other departments with document management.
• Operates power swivel, crown and ground saver if needed.
• Calculates torque and specs accurately.
• Joins in fall protection donning and doffing as required.
• Assists in racking of rod/tubing if needed.
• Operates tong operations daily when required.
• Pulls and lays down rods, tubing, casing and equipment.
• Keeps site, equipment and tools clean and in good condition.
• Understands Hazard IDs and follows SOPs for cards.
• Assists in daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Performs elevator handling, hardline construction and isolation procedures.
• Ensures efficient maintenance and utilization of equipment.
• Trains and mentors crew on down-hole tools, power swivels and compressors.
• Tracks costs, labor, and revenues; provides weekly cost analysis.
• Maintains repair of all equipment and tools.
• Provides technical assistance and supervision to the team.
• Maintains a positive work environment and coaches crew.
• Other duties as assigned.
