Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install and support wireless communications systems. You will create programming codeplugs for multiple channels, install equipment such as UHF/VHF systems, dispatch consoles, and DAS/BDA setups, and travel regionally as needed.

The ideal candidate has extensive electronics background, RF theory understanding, and proficiency with test equipment and MS Office. On-the-job training is provided, with a strong emphasis on customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of Service Technician experience in diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex equipment in the 2-way radio wireless/communication field.
• Knowledge of two-way radio theory and RF propagation across frequency bands.

Responsibilities

• Install and service wireless communications equipment (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz systems, dispatch consoles, DAS/BDA if needed).
• Create mid-level programming codeplugs (12+ channels, trunking, multiple zones).
• Provide exceptional customer service and meet customer requirements.
• Travel regionally and overnight as needed; on-call may be required.
