Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Rolling Meadows, IL seeks an experienced Microelectronics Test Technician for RF hardware testing, tuning, and extensive troubleshooting. This 4th shift role requires precise handling of small assemblies and operation of advanced RF equipment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on RF test experience, strong ability to read schematics, and capability to document results in ERP/MES systems. US citizenship is required; secret clearance may be pursued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required with 6+ years electronics or RF test experience, OR associate degree with 4+ years, OR bachelor’s degree with 2+ years.
• Hands-on RF testing and extensive troubleshooting of RF electronics including filters, amplifiers, MMICs.
• Experience with reading schematics and drawings; ability to troubleshoot to component level.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and calibrate RF test equipment to test RF microelectronics circuits, modules, and assemblies.
• Perform tests to measure RF performance across specified frequency bands.
• Troubleshoot RF microelectronics to circuit/component level using data and schematics.
• Read and interpret detailed schematics, drawings, and data sheets for test and debugging.
• Document test data, results, and nonconformances in SAP or MES systems and train others as needed.
• Maintain ESD/FOD and cleanroom handling procedures and work under a microscope when required.
