Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Rolling Meadows, IL, is seeking an Electronic Technician 3 to support the design, assembly, testing, and maintenance of advanced electronic systems for mission-critical applications. The role involves hands-on work with circuit boards, test equipment, and RF devices, with emphasis on quality and reliability.

This is a 4th shift position (6:00 am–6:30 pm, Fri–Sun; training on 1st shift).

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 4+ years of relevant work experience; OR an Associate degree in Electronics with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in military or aerospace manufacturing or depot environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional and performance testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic systems and subassemblies.
• Operate test stations and equipment for RF applications and TWT tuning.
• Perform automated testing and MPM/TX testing.
• Record data and ensure compliance with engineering specifications and military standards.
• Maintain test documentation and calibration records; adhere to safety and ESD protocols.
• Support root cause analysis of test failures and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with environmental testing and system-level verification.
• Ensure ongoing safety, quality, and security compliance.
• Must lift up to 30 lbs and be available for OT/weekend shifts.
