Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering student for Summer 2026 to join the RF/mm-Wave Reference Design Team and collaboratively solve challenging RF/mm-Wave circuit problems.

You will design and tape-out mm-Wave reference circuits, use industry-standard Cadence tools for schematic and layout tasks, and perform comprehensive simulations to optimize performance under mentorship.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Must have transistor-level circuit design understanding.
• Knowledge of RF/mm-Wave circuit design fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Cadence-based EDA tools and English (written & verbal).

Responsibilities

• Design and tape-out mm-Wave reference circuits on internal test chips and MPWs.
• Use Cadence-based tools to perform schematic design, layout, parasitic extraction, and simulations (pre- and post-layout).
• Perform circuit optimizations to meet performance requirements.
• Collaborate with design leads on multiple concurrent projects.
