Job summary

RTX is seeking an electrical engineer specializing in RF design and microwave theory to develop and test MMICs, modules, and phased array components for defense programs on-site in Massachusetts.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing and the use of HFSS, ADS, CST, Genesys, and Cadence Virtuoso, working with production teams to ensure design integrity and reliability. A DoD Secret clearance is required, with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Experience in Microwave/RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design and/or test.
• Experience with an electromagnetic simulation tool such as HFSS, ADS, CST, Genesys and Mentor Graphics’ Xpedition Cadence Virtuso, and an analytical tool such as Matlab.
• Experience performing basic RF calculations and Cascaded Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design of RF microwave components and phased array applications.
• Develop insights that extend your knowledge in the RF/Microwave field and form the basis of new concepts, theories, and products.
• Design and/or test MMIC or module products and test fixtures at RF/microwave frequencies.
• Integration and test of component level and system level phased array hardware.
• Some travel to integration sites, plus customer and subcontractor facilities, may be required.
